Cedar Trails Patrol
About the Patrol
The purpose of the Cedar Trails Patrol is to promote safe use of the recreational trails located in the urban and rural areas of Black Hawk County.
Patrols are comprised of volunteer trail users, who have completed appropriate training, and are able to inform, assist, or educate fellow trail users. The Cedar Trails Patrol emphasizes safe, responsible trail use, trail etiquette, limited mechanical assistance, and medical assistance.
Enforcement is NOT a function of the Cedar Trails Patrol, but patrol members are trained in the reporting of criminal and medical emergencies. Patrol members will also assist with the reporting and safe marking of trail hazards.
Team building gatherings will take place monthly. This will give patrollers a chance to review skills, give feedback and/or suggestions, and have FUN.
